Petite Cosmetic Procedures

What is the difference between hyaluronic acid and botulinum toxin (Botox) for wrinkle treatment?
Hyaluronic acid injections work by lifting sunken skin to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. On the other hand, Botox injections are used to treat dynamic wrinkles caused by muscle movements, often called expression lines. For wrinkles that remain even when your face is at rest, hyaluronic acid injections can also help improve them.

What are the effects of hyaluronic acid injections?
Are there any side effects of hyaluronic acid injections?
Hyaluronic acid is a substance naturally found in the human body and has been used for many years not only in cosmetic treatments but also in joint therapies, so the risk of side effects is very low. However, in rare cases, an excessive foreign body reaction (allergy) to hyaluronic acid can occur, which may cause fibrous lumps, infections (such as swelling and pain), or vascular complications. Additionally, in areas where the skin is thin, such as under the eyes, even if the injection is done evenly, the distribution of hyaluronic acid may shift over time due to muscle movement.

Does the effect of hyaluronic acid last forever?
Since hyaluronic acid is naturally absorbed by the body, the effect usually lasts 3 to 6 months after the first injection, depending on the area and amount injected. With repeated treatments, the effects tend to last longer. Different types of hyaluronic acid have varying durations, which will be explained during your consultation.

I had hyaluronic acid injections at another clinic, but the results look unnatural. Can you fix it?
Injected hyaluronic acid can be dissolved using a medication called hyaluronidase. If you have too much filler or are concerned about bumps, please come for a consultation so we can assess your condition and provide the appropriate treatment plan.

Is follow-up necessary after hyaluronic acid injection?
Generally, follow-up visits are not required. However, if you experience any concerns, please come for a check-up. Since the effects are not permanent, we recommend additional injections when the effect fades. The filler tends to last longer with repeated treatments. If you are unsure about timing for additional injections, please visit us for a consultation and advice.

I am sensitive to pain and worried about discomfort during hyaluronic acid injections.
For patients concerned about pain, we offer various anesthesia options and techniques to minimize discomfort during injections. We also use micro-cannulas that reduce bruising and pain (except for injections on the nose and chin). Please let us know if you would like to use these options.

Can hyaluronic acid injections cause allergies?
Hyaluronic acid is a substance naturally found in the body and has been used safely for many years not only in cosmetic treatments but also for joint therapies. Therefore, the risk of allergic reactions is very low, but it cannot be said to be zero.

Can laser treatments for removing dark spots dissolve hyaluronic acid?
There are no reports of hyaluronic acid dissolving as a result of laser treatments such as those for spot removal.

Can massaging cause hyaluronic acid to move or disappear?
In areas with thin skin, such as under the eyes or on the forehead, massaging may cause hyaluronic acid to shift, leading to uneven distribution. It is also possible that the filler may break down slightly faster due to massage.

Is hyaluronic acid safe?
Since hyaluronic acid is naturally present in the body and has been used for many years in both cosmetic and joint treatments, side effects are very rare. However, in rare cases, an excessive foreign body reaction (allergy) can cause fibrous lumps, infections (such as swelling or pain), or skin necrosis due to vascular complications. Also, in thin-skinned areas like under the eyes, even if the initial result is smooth, muscle movements may cause uneven distribution of the filler over time.

Is there a risk of looking unnatural after hyaluronic acid injections?
With careful consultation and precise determination of the injection areas and amounts by a doctor, unnatural results can be avoided. However, in thin-skinned areas such as under the eyes, muscle movement may cause uneven filler distribution over time. Also, seeking excessive height on the nose with hyaluronic acid can cause widening of the nasal root, resulting in an unnatural appearance.

Is it too early for someone in their 20s to get hyaluronic acid injections for wrinkles?
Hyaluronic acid injections are a popular minimally invasive treatment accepted by a wide age range of patients. If you have concerns such as nasolabial folds, please feel free to consult us regardless of your age. Since skin sagging and deepening wrinkles can become harder to improve with age, early treatment as a preventive measure is also recommended.

Are hyaluronic acid injections effective for fine wrinkles at the corners of the eyes?
If fine wrinkles are visible even when you are not smiling, hyaluronic acid injections may be effective. However, for fine wrinkles that appear when smiling, treatment that relaxes the muscles around the eyes is more effective. In such cases, botulinum toxin (Botox) injections are recommended instead of hyaluronic acid.

Can I make my hollow cheeks look fuller and healthier?
Hyaluronic acid injections are generally recommended for this purpose. However, we would like to provide you with appropriate advice tailored to your condition, so please make a reservation and come for a consultation first.

The temple area is sunken. Can this be improved?
Hyaluronic acid injections are usually effective for this. Please make a reservation and visit us for a consultation so we can offer you the best advice.

I want to make my nose higher. Which is better, hyaluronic acid injection or silicone prosthesis insertion?
If you prefer quick treatment with almost no downtime, we recommend hyaluronic acid injections. However, we will suggest the best option based on your desired shape during the consultation.
Please note that hyaluronic acid injection mainly enhances the nasal bridge. If you want changes to the nasal tip or a significant height increase, excessive hyaluronic acid may cause the nasal bridge to look thick. In such cases, silicone implant (prostheses) insertion, nasal-tip plasty, or ear cartilage transplantation to the nasal tip may be more suitable.

I have a small chin and want to enhance it. Which is better, hyaluronic acid injection or silicone prosthesis insertion? Are there other recommended treatments?
If you prefer quick treatment with almost no downtime, we recommend hyaluronic acid injections or a treatment called “Quick E-line.” After listening to your preferences during the consultation, we will recommend the best option for you. If your chin is very small, a large amount of hyaluronic acid may be required, which can sometimes result in a rounder chin shape. In such cases, we may recommend silicone implant (prosthesis) as the first choice.

I have an egg allergy. Can I receive botulinum toxin (Botox) injections?
There is no particular problem with egg allergies concerning Botox injections.

If I keep receiving botulinum toxin (Botox) injections repeatedly, will my facial expressions become unnatural or mask-like?
Excessive Botox can paralyze facial muscles, causing unnatural or mask-like expressions. This is especially common with Botox injections for slimming the cheekbone area, where smiling expressions may become stiff. Please understand that except for the forehead and around the eyes, many injection sites are not officially approved by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare for this reason.

If I stop botulinum toxin (Botox) injections, will my wrinkles worsen?
The muscles simply return to their original state after the effect wears off, so wrinkles will not worsen. However, frequent injections within three months are not recommended, as muscle thinning can cause the skin to become thinner and wrinkles to appear more easily with small facial movements. Usually, 2 to 3 injections per year provide appropriate control.

Why does botulinum toxin (Botox) injection reduce a prominent jawline?
Botox works by relaxing the muscles. It takes advantage of the fact that when muscles are less active, they gradually shrink. The prominence of the jawline is often caused by the masseter muscle, which is used when chewing or clenching. Injecting Botox into this muscle suppresses its activity, leading to muscle reduction over time. This results in a slimmer, more defined facial contour and a noticeable small face effect.

How many botulinum toxin (Botox) injections are needed to slim down a prominent jawline?
You can see some slimming effect after just one treatment. However, about three treatments spaced a few months apart are generally recommended for a more noticeable and longer-lasting result. Some patients are satisfied after one session, while others may feel their cheeks look hollowed out. Whether to continue additional treatments depends on the individual’s progress and consultation with the doctor. Please inform us during booking if you would like a consultation about follow-up treatments.

Why does botulinum toxin (Botox) reduce underarm sweating?
Botox not only relaxes muscles but also inhibits the activity of sweat glands. By reducing sweat production, it helps control mild underarm odor as well.

Can botulinum toxin (Botox) injections cure excessive axillary (underarm) odor?
Botox is effective for many patients with mild underarm odor because it suppresses sweat production from the eccrine sweat glands. However, in severe cases, sweating may stop but odor may persist, as body odor is primarily caused by apocrine sweat glands, which Botox does not affect. For more severe cases, treatments like MiraDry Fresh, which target both sweat and odor, are recommended.

Beauty IV Drip

Can high-dose Vitamin C IV therapy be combined with other treatments?
If you have recently undergone treatments that cause bruising, such as liposuction, eyelid surgery, nose surgery, petite cosmetic procedures, or skin booster injections, we recommend waiting until the bruising has healed before having a Vitamin C infusion.
Combining high-dose Vitamin C infusions (50g) with other beauty infusions including glutathione on the same day is not recommended. For doses of 12.5g or 25g, caution is advised when combined with other infusions.

I usually take Vitamin C supplements. If I receive high-dose Vitamin C IV therapies, do I still need supplements?
Vitamin C cannot be produced or stored in the body. Taking supplements regularly enhances the effect of Vitamin C infusions, so we recommend continuing both supplements and infusions together for the best results.

Why is high-dose Vitamin C administered by infusion rather than oral supplements?
Oral Vitamin C intake saturates blood levels at about 400 mg per day, and excess amounts are poorly absorbed and excreted. In contrast, infusions can increase blood Vitamin C levels by several tens of times compared to oral intake, delivering a larger amount efficiently throughout the body. Therefore, infusions are more effective for high-dose Vitamin C delivery.

Are there any side effects of high-dose Vitamin C IV therapy?
High-dose Vitamin C infusions are generally very safe, with serious side effects being extremely rare. Mild side effects may include headache or nausea, especially if given on an empty stomach or when dehydrated. Some patients, including those on low-dose birth control pills, may experience headaches not previously noticed. Temporary symptoms like cold sweats, tremors, numbness, or cramps may occur. Intense exercise, trauma, strong massage, or vigorous wringing of cloth before infusion may cause bruising, which resolves naturally. Patients with G6PD deficiency or certain other conditions may not be eligible for this treatment.

Double Eyelids & Eye Area

Can I have double eyelid surgery on each eye on separate days?
It is possible to have the procedure on each eye on different days. However, in this case, you will need to pay for each eye separately. The cost for one eye is 60% of the price for both eyes, so it will be more expensive than having both eyes done at the same time. Please understand this in advance.
What is the difference between buried suture method (non-incisional) and incisional method for double eyelid surgery?
The buried suture method creates a double eyelid line by using threads, while the incisional method involves making a cut with a scalpel to form the double eyelid line. Both have their own advantages and disadvantages, which will be explained in detail during your consultation.

Can I have double eyelid surgery on the same day as the consultation? Do I need to make a reservation?
Generally, it is possible to have the surgery on the same day as your consultation. However, depending on the length of the consultation and the schedule of other patients, the surgery may need to be scheduled for another day.
Please inform us when making your reservation if you wish to have the surgery on the same day. Our clinic operates by appointment only, so please be sure to mention your preference for same-day surgery when booking.

What is the difference between 1-point and 2-point fixation in buried-suture double eyelid surgery?
One-point fixation is usually for patients who already have some double eyelid line (crease) but it is unstable, or for those who previously had 2-point fixation but part of the line has loosened. For patients with no double eyelid line or those creating a completely new line, we generally recommend at least 2-point fixation. While 2-point fixation is usually sufficient, depending on your eyelid condition and desired line, we may suggest 3-point fixation.

Does buried-suture double eyelid surgery last forever?
Results vary from person to person. Some patients have results lasting semi-permanently, while others experience the line (crease) loosening within a few months. Factors include the width of the line, thickness of the eyelid skin, and the type of suture method used. The doctor will explain the details during your consultation.

Is buried-suture double eyelid surgery painful?
The procedure is performed under local anesthesia, so you should not feel pain during the surgery.
We continuously work to minimize discomfort by improving our methods and choosing the best anesthesia.
If you are particularly sensitive to pain, we also offer nitrous oxide (laughing gas) sedation free of charge for first-time patients.
(初回無料)

Will there be swelling after buried-suture double eyelid surgery?
Swelling varies depending on the line (crease) width and eyelid thickness. Generally, swelling subsides within a few days to one week, but the full natural appearance may take up to a month or sometimes several months.
Our clinic offers the Quick-liner method, which tends to cause less swelling. The doctor will explain this during your consultation.

Can I have buried-suture double eyelid surgery while breastfeeding?
It is possible during breastfeeding.
However, because the skin may be more prone to pigmentation and needle marks could leave discoloration, we recommend waiting until after breastfeeding if possible.

I had buried-suture double eyelid surgery at another clinic several years ago but want to change the line (crease) width. Can I have the surgery again?
Yes, it is possible. Generally, we will remove the previous sutures before redoing the surgery, but we need to assess your eyelid condition first.

Is suture removal necessary after buried-suture double eyelid surgery?
No, suture removal is not required.

What if I don't get the desired double eyelid shape after buried-suture double eyelid surgery? Can it be corrected?
We offer a one-year warranty period during which corrections can be made if the line (crease) is different from the intended width, if the line loosens, if sutures need to be removed, or if any complications arise. (Please note that anesthesia fees are separate.) Changing the line width while maintaining the original crease line is not covered under the warranty. Some correction requests may be declined if they cannot meet your desired outcome.

I regularly use eyelid glue (eye tape). Can I still have buried-suture double eyelid surgery?
Depending on your eyelid condition, it may be difficult to perform the surgery. Long-term use of eyelid glue can cause inflammation, hardening, thickening, or stretching of the skin. We recommend consulting with us to see if the surgery is suitable before any issues develop.

Can buried-suture double eyelid surgery be performed on heavy or swollen eyelids?
The surgery can be done on most eyelid types. However, depending on the line (crease) width and eyelid condition, achieving the desired shape might be difficult. In such cases, we may suggest combining with upper eyelid fat removal or using the incisional method. Please consult with us to evaluate your eyelids and discuss your preferences.

Will there be visible scars after buried-suture double eyelid surgery?
There will be very small needle marks, but they are minimal and usually hidden along the crease line, making them hardly noticeable.

Is there a risk of the suture thread breaking?
We use special threads that are very durable, so breakage is rare. However, if it happens, please contact us.

I had buried-suture double eyelid surgery at another clinic but am not satisfied with the shape. Can you correct it?
Yes, it is possible. Usually, we will remove the previous sutures before redoing the surgery. We need to examine your eyelid condition first.

Wrinkle & Sagging Treatments

What treatments are available for sagging cheeks?
Depending on the severity of sagging, options include thread lifts such as the V-face contouring (cheek sideline lift with threads) or cheek lift (cheek line lift with threads), or surgical lifts involving skin removal such as the total facelift or mini facelift. We will evaluate your condition during consultation and recommend the most suitable treatment.

What treatments can make my jawline more defined?
Treatment options vary depending on your jawline condition and include thread lifts like the V-face contouring, surgical lifts such as the total facelift, submental (under-earlobe) facelift, or neck lift, fat removal by the buccal or submental liposuction, and injectable treatments like hyaluronic acid or botulinum toxin (Botox). We will assess your jawline at consultation and suggest the best approach.

What treatments are available for sagging under the chin?
Depending on the condition, options include surgical lifts that tighten the superficial muscular aponeurotic system (SMAS) and remove excess skin such as the total facelift, submental facelift, or neck lift, fat removal via the submental liposuction, and injectable treatments like botulinum toxin (Botox). We will recommend the most appropriate treatment after examining your condition.

What kind of threads are used for thread lifts?
We use special dissolvable threads with tiny cogs (barbs).
These threads gradually dissolve after the procedure, stimulating collagen production around each thread, which helps suppress sagging and signs of aging.

How long is the downtime after thread lift?
Downtime is very short. Many patients can go out without a mask immediately after treatment. However, the more threads used, the longer the downtime may be. Minor bruising or swelling may occur but generally subsides within about a week.

Is the thread lift procedure painful?
Our original techniques minimize pain and swelling. We also offer various anesthesia options, including nitrous oxide sedation and intravenous anesthesia.

How many threads are usually needed for thread lift?
The number of threads depends on your sagging condition. We will provide a personalized recommendation after evaluation.

Is suture removal necessary after thread lift?
No. The threads are made of dissolvable material and do not require removal.

Will there be any visible scars after V-face contouring?
The entry points for the threads are located within the hairline at the temples, so scars are virtually invisible.
There is minimal downtime, and makeup can be applied immediately after the procedure, making it possible to go out the same day.

Will there be any visible scars after cheek lift?
The entry points for the threads are inside the mouth (on the upper gum mucosa), so there are no visible scars externally. In addition, the needle marks from hyaluronic acid injections are barely noticeable, even right after the procedure.
There is minimal downtime, and makeup can be applied immediately after the procedure, making it possible to go out the same day.

What is the difference between hyaluronic acid and botulinum toxin (Botox) for wrinkle treatment?

Skin Care & Dermatology

Can I have pico laser treatment while undergoing hair removal?
If you are receiving hair removal laser treatment, please wait about one month after the last hair removal session before undergoing pico laser treatment.

Can I put on makeup right after pico laser treatment?
Yes, makeup can be applied immediately after pico laser treatment.
What should I be careful about after pico laser treatment?
Your skin will be very sensitive after pico laser treatment, so avoid rubbing or irritating the skin. Please keep your skin well moisturized and take care to protect it from UV exposure.

Does pico spot laser treatment hurt?
Pico spot laser is a strong laser treatment that forms scabs to remove dark spots, so it feels like being snapped with a rubber band during the procedure.

Will the treated area turn red after pico spot laser?
Yes, redness and scabbing will occur. Depending on the spot size:
・About 5-7 days for small spots (~1mm)
・1-1.5 weeks for medium spots (a few mm)
・Around 2 weeks for larger spots (1cm or more)
The scabs will naturally peel off during this period.

Is one session of pico spot laser treatment enough to remove dark spots?
Many patients notice a visible improvement after just one session of pico spot laser treatment. However, in some cases where the pigmentation is less responsive, a second session may be necessary, spaced at least two months apart. If the spot darkens due to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), or if the pigmentation is very light, we may recommend additional treatment such as pico laser toning for optimal results.

Does pico laser toning work on melasma?
Pico laser toning can be effective for melasma, but there are some reports of melasma worsening after treatment. Please understand this risk before proceeding.

Does pico laser toning hurt?
Pico laser toning uses low laser energy and feels like light poking on the skin, similar to touching with the tip of a toothpick. If the pain is bothersome, the laser power can be adjusted.

Will pico laser toning cause redness?
Usually only mild redness occurs, which can be covered with makeup right after treatment. Rarely, stronger redness, uneven skin tone, or mild swelling may appear.

Is one session of pico laser toning treatment enough to remove dark spots?
Pico laser toning typically requires multiple treatment sessions to achieve noticeable results. The number of sessions needed and the degree of improvement vary significantly from person to person, so it’s difficult to provide a fixed number. However, with continued treatment, not only can targeted dark spots and freckles be lightened, but your overall skin tone may also appear brighter. Many patients begin to see visible improvement after around 20 sessions.

How often should I receive pico laser toning?
Initially, every 1-2 weeks, then once a month after visible improvement.

Does pico fractional laser hurt?
Yes, there is some pain. If you are concerned, the laser intensity can be adjusted.

Will pico fractional laser cause redness?
Redness typically lasts about 1 day. Sometimes, acne-like bumps may appear temporarily, but downtime is much shorter than with CO2 fractional lasers (which cause rough skin for 7-10 days).

Is one session of pico fractional laser treatment enough?
Some patients feel benefits after one treatment, but multiple sessions are recommended.

How often should I receive pico fractional laser treatment?
Once a month is effective.

Is the needle used for skin booster injection shared with other patients?
No, we never share needles between patients. Disposable needles are used to ensure hygiene and safety.

Will I see results after one skin booster injection?
Yes, even after one session, you can notice improvements in your skin’s glow, firmness, and clarity. People who frequently experience dry skin, lack skin elasticity, or are concerned about fine lines and dullness tend to see noticeable effects more easily.
For longer-lasting results, we recommend continuing treatments every few weeks, as repeated sessions help maintain and enhance the effects over time.

Is skin booster injection painful?
We apply a topical anesthetic cream before the injection. While individual pain tolerance varies, generally there is no pain.

Can I get sun exposure during treatment with isotretinoin (Isotroin: a Vitamin A derivative for acne treatment)?
Isotretinoin increases photosensitivity. Therefore, you may develop sensitivity to sunlight during treatment. Please avoid sun exposure while taking isotretinoin.

Can isotretinoin (Isotroin: a Vitamin A derivative for acne treatment) be purchased at pharmacies?
Isotretinoin is a prescription medication and cannot be purchased over the counter at pharmacies. At our clinic, it will only be prescribed after a thorough consultation with one of our physicians, if deemed necessary.
Please also note that personal importation of isotretinoin is prohibited for the same regulatory reasons.

Can minors receive treatment with isotretinoin (Isotroin: a Vitamin A derivative for acne treatment)?
Treatment is possible for minors, but requires accompaniment by a legal guardian and a signed consent form. However, for those under 15 years old, there is a risk of premature closure of growth plates which can halt height growth. Therefore, treatment is generally not recommended for this age group.

Is the Dermapen 4 treatment painful?
We generally use a topical anesthetic cream (additional fee: 3,000 yen). Because the procedure creates micro-punctures in the skin, some patients may feel slight discomfort.

How many Dermapen 4 treatments are needed to see results?
Many patients notice improvement after just one session. For smoother and more elastic skin, repeated treatments every 4 to 6 weeks are recommended.
Depending on treatment goals, approximately five sessions are advised.

Does Dermapen 4 treatment leave scars?
The needles are extremely fine, so no scarring remains after treatment.

Can Dermapen 4 treat keratosis pilaris?
It is possible to treat keratosis pilaris, but results depend on skin condition. Please schedule a consultation for personalized assessment.

Can Dermapen 4 improve acne scars and atrophic scars after one treatment?
One treatment can produce noticeable improvement.
However, sufficient results typically require an appropriate number of sessions (usually at least five sessions monthly). The exact number varies depending on severity, individual response, and satisfaction.

Tattoo Removal

How long does it take to remove a tattoo with pico laser?
The treatment duration varies depending on the type of ink, whether it is hand-poked or machine tattooed, the colors used, and the depth of the ink. Some tattoos may disappear after a few sessions, while others may require more than 10 sessions.

Is pico laser tattoo removal painful?
At our clinic, we use a pico laser, which significantly reduces pain and downtime compared to traditional lasers. However, some discomfort during the treatment can still be expected. For larger treatment areas or more sensitive regions, many patients choose to receive a local anesthetic beforehand. Using a local anesthetic not only makes the laser procedure itself more comfortable, but it also helps ease the lingering, throbbing pain that can occur for a few hours after the session.

Are there any precautions or restrictions after pico laser tattoo removal?
Immediately after treatment, we apply an ointment and cover the area with plastic wrap and tape. After returning home, you need to continue this care until the skin fully regenerates. Covering the treated area with gauze can cause scabs or blisters to stick and peel off prematurely, which delays healing. Conversely, only applying ointment without washing may increase infection risk. It is safe to gently wash with soap, pat dry softly, and then reapply ointment and wrap. Also, avoid excessive sun exposure until the treatment course is complete.

Will pico laser tattoo removal leave scars or marks?
Our pico laser treatment does not involve cutting or scraping the skin, so no surgical scars occur. However, the skin may temporarily thicken or develop residual pigmentation changes as it heals, so the skin may not return to exactly its pre-tattoo state. Compared to traditional Q-switched lasers, the pico laser causes significantly less thermal damage, greatly reducing the risk of keloids or hypertrophic scars.

How is pico laser different from conventional lasers for tattoo removal?
Pico laser emits laser pulses measured in picoseconds (one trillionth of a second), which is much shorter than the nanosecond (one billionth of a second) pulses of conventional lasers. This shorter pulse duration allows treatment with fewer sessions and shorter intervals, cutting the total treatment period roughly in half. It also minimizes skin damage.

I heard that colored tattoos cannot be removed with lasers. Is that true?
Traditional Q-switched YAG lasers were only effective for black and red inks and had difficulty removing colors like orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, or brown. Our pico laser can target all colors. However, the fading speed varies by color: blue and green tend to fade faster, while red and dark black may take longer.

I had laser tattoo removal at another clinic but some ink remains. Can pico laser remove the leftover ink?
The effectiveness depends on the type of ink, tattoo method, color, and depth. Pico Laser is effective against pigments that conventional lasers may have failed to remove. Many patients have achieved satisfactory fading of remaining tattoos by adding pico laser treatment after previous Q-switched laser sessions.

How does laser tattoo removal work?
Laser tattoo removal works by targeting the tattoo pigment with specific wavelengths of light that are absorbed by particular colors in the ink. The laser energy breaks the pigment into tiny particles. These fragmented pigments are then gradually eliminated by the body’s immune system through a process called phagocytosis. Additionally, pigment located in the upper layers of the skin may be shed along with the formation and natural removal of scabs. Through these two mechanisms—internal absorption by immune cells and external exfoliation—the tattoo gradually fades over multiple sessions.

Can a tattoo be completely removed with a single pico laser session?
If the tattoo is very light and shallow, one session may be sufficient. However, for medium to heavily pigmented tattoos, even the more effective pico laser requires multiple sessions spaced at least two months apart.

Are there any side effects of pico laser tattoo removal?
Compared to traditional Q-switched lasers (such as ruby or YAG lasers), pico lasers cause significantly less thermal damage to the skin, which greatly reduces the risk of side effects. However, some acute reactions may still occur after pico laser treatment, including scabbing, pain, swelling, and blistering. There are also potential risks during the healing process, such as itching, hypertrophic scars, keloids, and pigmentation changes. In rare cases, serious infections like cellulitis may develop, requiring prompt medical attention and follow-up visits.

Can pico laser remove eyebrow and eyeliner permanent makeup (tattoo makeup)?
Yes, pico laser can remove eyebrow and eyeliner tattoo makeup. With the recent popularity of cosmetic tattoos, consultations for correction and removal have increased.

Body Contouring

Axillary Odor & Hyperhidrosis Treatments

What is the difference between MiraDry treatment and the excision method?
Both provide long-term effectiveness. MiraDry is a non-invasive treatment that does not require cutting the skin, so it has a shorter downtime. In contrast, the excision method involves surgically cutting the skin and scraping the underside of the peeled skin, resulting in a much longer downtime and visible scars.

Is MiraDry effective for hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating)?
Axillary odor is caused by apocrine sweat glands, while hyperhidrosis is caused by eccrine sweat glands. MiraDry targets both types of sweat glands, so it can improve both axillary odor and hyperhidrosis simultaneously.

I am currently undergoing hair removal treatment. Can I receive MiraDry treatment?
You do not need to complete hair removal before MiraDry treatment, but you should wait at least 2 weeks after your last hair removal session before undergoing MiraDry treatment. Also, it is advisable to avoid hair removal for about 2 months after MiraDry treatment.

I had botulinum toxin (Botox) treatment for axillary hyperhidrosis last month. Can I receive MiraDry treatment now?
MiraDry treatment can be performed even if you have had Botox injections. However, since Botox suppresses sweating, you may not feel the full effect of MiraDry immediately. Consider waiting until the Botox effect wears off before having MiraDry treatment.

Can minors receive MiraDry treatment?
Yes, with the consent and accompaniment of a parent or legal guardian. However, because sweat gland function can increase again during growth, there is a possibility that symptoms may recur.

Is it safe to destroy sweat glands in the underarm?
Is it possible that MiraDry treatment may not be effective?
Most patients notice effects after just one treatment. However, satisfaction levels can vary as it depends on individual perception. If results are not satisfactory, retreatment can improve outcomes according to clinical studies.

How long do the effects of MiraDry treatment last?
Since sweat glands are destroyed by MiraDry and do not regenerate, the effects are expected to last semi-permanently, barring major changes in body constitution or growth.

How soon can I expect to see results from MiraDry treatment?
Effects can be felt immediately after treatment.

What is the difference between MiraDry treatment and botulinum toxin (Botox) injection for hyperhidrosis?
MiraDry offers long-lasting reduction in both sweat volume and odor. Botox reduces sweat volume temporarily (about 4 months) and requires regular injections. Generally, Botox provides a more immediate and noticeable reduction in sweat volume and freshness sensation.
