Subbrow Lift

  • Both eyes: ¥300,000 (tax incl.)
*Revision Surgery from Other Clinics: Additional ¥100,000 (tax incl.)
Subbrow Lift

The subbrow lift surgery is suitable for individuals experiencing upper eyelid sagging who prefer not to significantly alter the appearance of their double eyelids. By making an incision along the lower border of the eyebrow and excising the appropriate amount of skin, the resulting scar tends to be well-concealed.

Warranty Period: 1 year
Warranty Coverage: Corrections for asymmetry or noticeable irregularities (Note: Some cases may be difficult to revise and may be declined), Postoperative care for complications or unexpected issues.

*Requests for changes in eyelid shape for aesthetic reasons (e.g. wanting a different design or width) are not covered under the warranty.
*Revision requests within 6 months of the procedure are not accepted. (Due to higher risks of infection, suture failure, or scar contracture during this period)

Subbrow Lift

  • Swelling: Swelling typically subsides within approximately 1 week. It may take 1-2 months for the upper eyelids to appear natural. Please observe the healing process for at least 1 month after the surgery.
  • Bruising: Occasionally, bruising (blue discoloration) as subcutaneous hemorrhage may appear but usually resolves within approximately 2 weeks without the need for treatment.
  • Scarring: Surgical incision scars typically stabilize over a period of 3-6 months. However, the final appearance of the scar may vary among individuals.
  • Reduced Sensation: The area around the incision may experience temporary or prolonged numbness or decreased sensitivity.
  • Unstable Double Eyelid Line: Following the surgery, the excess skin of the upper eyelids is removed, which can sometimes lead to the appearance of a different double eyelid line or wrinkles along the direction in which the skin has been elevated.
  • Individual Variation in Eyebrow Descent: The surgery may result in lowering of the eyebrows, which often helps to reduce forehead wrinkles. However, the degree of eyebrow descent may vary among individuals and cannot be precisely predicted.
  • Others: Possible symptoms may include blepharospasm (involuntary eyelid twitching), dry eyes, photophobia (sensitivity to light), excessive tearing, milia, or chalazion.

  • Cleansing and Makeup: You may gently wash your face, shampoo your hair, and take a shower starting from the day of the surgery. However, please refrain from taking a bath until 3 days after the surgery. It is okay if soap gets on the wound or if it gets wet. Please refrain from applying makeup to the wound until the day after the sutures are removed. If you have wound pain, please wait a few extra days before applying makeup. Please refrain from drinking alcohol for at least 1 week after the surgery.
  • Driving and Operating Vehicles: Please refrain from driving a car, riding a motorcycle, and operating a bicycle or any other vehicle at least on the day of the surgery.
  • Contact Lenses: You may resume wearing contact lenses from the day of the surgery.
  • Medications: Please apply the prescribed ointment to the wound lightly, enough to form a thin layer, 2-3 times a day. Please take the prescribed antibiotics for one day. Painkillers should be taken as needed, with a dosage of 1-2 tablets per dose, and a maximum of 3 tablets per day. It is advisable to avoid taking painkillers on an empty stomach.
  • Suture Removal: Please return to our clinic for suture removal7 days after the surgery.
  • Facial Massage: Please refrain from washing or massaging your face with strong pressure for 1 month.
  • Complications from Sutures: You may notice slight elevations of the skin around the scar due to clogged sebaceous glands, or in some cases, eyebrow hair may become trapped and swirled underneath the skin. You may remove the swirled eyebrow hair with tweezers. Sutures placed underneath the skin may become exposed or palpable over time. In such cases, please return to our clinic for appropriate follow-up treatment

What Is Subbrow Lift?

A sub-brow lift is a surgical procedure designed to reduce sagging in the upper eyelids. It involves removing excess skin just beneath the lower edge of the eyebrows.
For those who originally had a natural double eyelid crease, this procedure can help restore the original crease while improving the appearance of sagging upper eyelids.
As a result, many patients also notice reduced forehead wrinkles and relief from tension or heaviness around the eyelids and brows. This surgery offers a natural-looking improvement without significantly altering your facial expression or overall appearance.

Features of Subbrow Lift

  • Effectively reduces sagging of the upper eyelids!
  • Restores a youthful and refreshed look around the eyes!

FAQ

Can I have double eyelid surgery on each eye on separate days?
It is possible to have the procedure on each eye on different days. However, in this case, you will need to pay for each eye separately. The cost for one eye is 60% of the price for both eyes, so it will be more expensive than having both eyes done at the same time. Please understand this in advance.
